Awards Presentation Dinner
The 2010 World Environment Day Awards Presentation Dinner, hosted by Rob Gell, President of Greening Australia, was held on the eve of World Environment Day, Friday 4 June at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne. The United Nations Association of Australia is pleased to announce that the 2010 World Environment Day Awards Presentation Dinner was a Green Power Event powered by Green Power - accredited renewable energy that comes from an approved, government renewable energy source: wind. This was made possible through the generous support of Origin. By allocating 2.68MWh of accredited Green Power, the Awards Presentation Dinner prevents the release of approximately 2.68 tonnes of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
