Q. When do nominations open for the 2010 World Environment Day Awards?
A. Nominations will open Monday, February 1st, 2010.

A. Nominations will close 5pm, Friday 14 May 2010.

Q. Where can I access nomination forms?
A. Nomination forms for 2010 will be posted on this website from February, on the Nomination Forms page. Alternatively you can contact the UNAA office and request a nomination form be sent out to you or your organisation.

Q. Who is eligible to enter the World Environment Day Awards?
A. The World Environment Day Awards are open to all members of the Australian public. The Awards have categories for schools, businesses, community groups, environmental groups, local governments, the media and individuals.

Q. I can't download a nomination form. What should I do?
A. If you are unable to download the nomination form, please advise the UNAA office immediately. We will send you a nomination form in the mail or via email, and attend to any problems our website may be having. Alternatively feel free to request that a nomination form be sent out to you.

Q. Where should I send my nomination(s)?
A. You can either courier it to our office:

Please ensure that all the details are correct. The United Nations Association of Australia does not take responsibility for nominations that are delayed or lost in the mail.

Q. Where can I find the entry criteria?
A. The entry criteria for each Awards category is on page 2 of the nomination form, available here. The entry criteria for each category are kept very open intentionally, in order to encourage nominations from a wide variety of different projects and organisations. We generally recommend to use your 2000 word submission to highlight the strengths of your project, what makes it innovative and effective, and what impact it has had or may have on the wider Australian and global communities.

A. Entry fees (including GST) for the 2010 World Environment Day Awards are as follows:
Business/Industry - $440
Local Government/Government Bodies - $385
Community Groups - $55
Individuals - $110
Schools - $110
Media - $110
