The UNAA Young Professionals Network is an exciting initiative that was launched in Sydney on UN Day in 2011. Since then, we’ve had four sell-out events that have attracted dynamic young professionals in their 20s and 30s who come together with a shared interest in social responsibility and the world around them. To celebrate our first birthday, we want to take it national. We’re inviting 100 high-potential young people from all around Australia to attend a National Conference in Sydney to celebrate UN Day in 2012.

The Conference will include keynote speakers, panel discussions and practical workshops followed by a big social event each evening. The Conference aims to inform, involve and inspire and will focus on
challenges the UN currently faces, and include sessions on human rights, humanitarian aid, sustainable development and international peace and security.

We’re also looking to identify amongst our delegates some young leaders who are interested in taking the UNAA Young Professionals to their home cities in 2013.
