Global Citizenship Education Program
The Association offers professional development services including workshops, seminars, masterclasses and corporate short courses on Corporate Sustainability Leadership as part of its Global Citizenship Education Program.
"Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs".
UN Brundtland Report 1987
The Association has developed a corporate short course on Corporate Sustainability Leadership to be offered as part of its Global Citizenship Education Program. The course addresses key issues relating to sustainability and global corporate governance including United Nations and other related global initiatives.
The course introduces students to the changing role of business in society and related accountability and reporting issues in the context of sustainability, social and environmental justice. It examines sustainability and corporate governance issues, emphasising transparency, accountability for, and reporting of, the social, environmental and human rights impacts of business operations on stakeholders. It promotes UN and other related global initiatives on sustainability and encourages Australian business involvement in such initiatives.
